Voter Service
We make voting easier through varied voter education programs. Our goal is to encourage citizens to participate in the democratic process.
ACTIVITIES:
- Voter registration drives. Members have been trained as Special Deputy Registrars and can conduct or assist voter registration sessions. Contact Us
- Education sessions on all aspects of voting. Members are available to present voter information to school and community groups. Contact Us
- "Get out the vote!" campaigns. "Vote! It Counts!" signs are available for display. Contact Us
- Birthday card program. We encourage young people in Door County to become voters on their 18th birthday. LWV DC members hand write each birthday card and enclose voter registration information and forms. Contact Us
- We encourage all new voters to become members of the LWV DC, Join Now!
CANDIDATE FORUMS
- Non-partisan candidate forums. LWV DC conducts candidate forums when requested by a candidate or member of the public, if agreed to by at least two candidates. Read the LWV DC Policy LWV Voter Service Policy and Guidlines LWV Candidate Forum Guidelines
- Candidate forums have been held in Door County for county, town and village offices, as-well-as the Wisconsin 1st Assembly District. All scheduled and recently held candidate forums and video programs are listed on the EVENTS page.
